- Dental Experience
Our patients are the most important part of our Tacoma dental practice. We’re always searching for ways to improve our patients’ experience at Pacific NW Dental Center, and we know that the difference is in the details.
The dental field has come a long way in recent years, and your visits to our office should evolve along with it. That’s why at each and every appointment, you can expect:
Our state-of-the-art equipment and technology will save you time, keep you comfortable, and make it easier for our team to give you the smile of your dreams.
Isolite® is a small invention that will make a big difference in your dental visits. As its name implies, the Isolite mouthpiece performs two jobs at once: it isolates our work area with a flexible mouthpiece, and it illuminates your mouth from the inside. No more cotton rolls in your cheeks, no more bright lights overhead, and no more aching jaw when your visit is over! The best part? Isolite’s revolutionary self-aspirating mechanism keeps the area we’re working on moist without requiring any messy rinse breaks.
Digital X-rays are faster and more comfortable than traditional X-rays, and studies have shown that they emit up to 90% less radiation. Because digital X-rays do not require any chemical processing, the results are available on our computer screen within seconds. Dental X-rays are needed to help in identifying abscesses, cavities, gum disease, infections in the bone, and other abnormalities.
Panoramic X-rays give us the ability to visualize your entire mouth instead of isolating selected areas. This full view is especially helpful in complex full-mouth restorations and in orthodontic treatment planning. We also use digital X-rays and panoramic x-rays during routine oral cancer screenings, because they allow Dr. Lee to see possible tumors and abscesses that can go unnoticed during a visual exam.
We use our intraoral cameras to show you what we see during your exam and guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. We want you to understand your treatment needs and feel confident in the decisions you make for your smile.
We reserve at least 60 minutes for your first visit, because we want you to have plenty of time to get to know us. Your first visit will include an unhurried, one-on-one consultation with Dr. Lee, during which he will thoroughly discuss your dental history, your goals for your smile, and any specific concerns that brought you to our office.
In almost all cases, we will perform your cleaning and X-rays during your first visit as well. Some dentists schedule two separate appointments for the exam and cleaning, but we’ve found that combining them is more efficient and convenient. Your time is valuable, and we’re committed to helping you make the most of it!
In addition to being in-network for most dental insurances, we also offer payment plans through CareCredit? patient financing. We understand that it can be difficult to find quality care at a cost that fits your budget, and we do everything we can to make your dental health a financial possibility. Visit our Financial page to learn more about our payment options and policies.
